Icon Maker (Asset Catalog for App Store Icons) App Reviews

7 Customer Reviews:

I’ve been looking around for this type of app for a long time. I was almost looking at writting my own untl I found this app. It solves the problem of having to provide tens of icons all at different sizes for apps these days. In iOS it covers from Apple Watch to iPod Pro. Just import your icon design and let it generate. Then just drag the icon assets into your asset catalog (in the case of iOS) and viola, you have all your icons. Of course you may want to tweek the results, but the majority of the work has been done. And if you want to change you icon, do it in one place and regenerate all the different sizes required.

Generated icons have doubled dimensions.

If the icon should be 40 * 40, I get 80 * 80.

It may be free but it doesn’t do anything at the free price. It should let you make an icon atleast to see how it works. Don’t waste your time downloading. Another crap developer.

All I wanted was a tool that would round the corners of my icon and this did exactly that. Incidnetallly, a previous reviewer mentioned that his icon had horizontal stripes going through it. That’s because he didn’t buy 99¢ in-app purchase.

App icons are ready in just two clicks. To get better quality all you need to have is either 512 * 512 or 1024 *1024 images. Simple and easy to use with no complicated steps

While the interface is nice, scaling down my image from 1024x1024 to iOS icon sizes left white horisontal stripes. Must have something to do with the scaling algorithm used. I’ve tried another free tool and it worked just fine.

Essential for iOS Developers

I rarely review apps, but I felt this one was worth it. I’ve been using this app for almost a year now. It’s so easy to use. Just select your image and press a button, and Icon Maker generates all of the images I need for my Xcode project.

Nice simple app

A nice simple app. Simple layout and easy to use. The only issue I have is that it will only generate an assets.xcassets. It will not allow you to drag the icons into an existing project that already has an assets.xcasset with data. Fix this and it should be a $2.99 app.

Delivered exactly what I needed

Didn’t do the job right

While the interface is nice, scaling down my image from 1024x1024 to iOS icon sizes left white horisontal stripes. Must have something to do with the scaling algorithm used. I’ve tried another free tool and it worked just fine.
